エンペラー・スカイ（ファミリー：アクィラ・スカイギター）

概要

エンペラー・スカイは1987年に製作。ドルフィン・スカイ、パープル・スカイという2本の先代に関連し、いくつかの新しい変更がありました。

ドルフィン・スカイのフレットは全て半音間隔、そしてパープル・スカイは最高音域がフレットレスであった一方、エンペラー・
スカイはその後の全スカイギターにとって不可欠となる新しい青写真をもたらしました、27フレット以降は全音間隔であるという！
正確な音程を弾くのが難しくなる点で一種の妥協なのかも知れませんが、その一方で弾き易さと最高音域で実際に歌っているかの
ような音を実現しました。

さらに、全フレットがスキャロップ加工されました。同時に高音域の演奏性も向上。視覚的には、エンペラー・スカイはスカイギターの
外観と印象に重要な変化をもたらしました。定番となった渦状銀河、最初の2本のスカイギターではハードエッジ風に描かれてましたが、
柔らかいエッジで重層化されたのです。
